Think of this as software archaeology. I come up with lots of ideas. I
only actually get around to working on a few. I finish even fewer. There
is absolutely no guarantee that any of these work or do what they're
supposed to. Use at your own risk. For external application only.
CalDJJ
CalDJJ is the beginnings of an online
calendaring system.
BallotBox
I wrote the ballot box for the 2002
Computer Engineering Club Elections. It's a generic voting booth,
written in HTML::Mason, which provides voter secrecy. You may download it [.tgz, 7 kB].
jSLIP
I'm also writing a SLIP client in Java. I am not proud. I'm actually
almost ashamed. You can download (38 KB, includes
comm.jar) the fruits of my delusion. Or in JAR
format. This was used for our EE 552 project.
Thoughts
Things I'm thinking about:
- a way to schedule reminders using at to send email
- a contact management setup for the ESS
- webmail for IMAP using perl
- a way to keep notes privately on a web site, maybe using a symmetric cipher with a keyphrase that you enter when you log in
- how you could do blogging using newsgroups
